ADVOCACY / REALTOR PARTY

The REALTOR Party is the political advocacy program of the REALTOR Association. It advocates for private property rights and legislation that supports real estate transactions. RPAC (REALTOR Political Action Committee) is the Federal PAC supported by the REALTOR Party. LARPAC (Louisiana REALTORS Political Action Committee) supports advocacy issues in Louisiana.

The Louisiana Real Estate Commission (LREC) is a governmental regulatory agency authorized by the Louisiana Constitution to regulate real estate activity in Louisiana and protect the public. The Commission licenses salespersons (agents) and brokers and provides the public an outlet for questions and complaints about license law issues and concerns.

The NAR Code of Ethics provides for REALTORS and members of the public to to have access to a process to facilitate complaints about service and ethical conduct by REALTOR members.
